Pharaoh and the Lion Goddess

Ramses II – so-called “Great” – and Sekhmet, the Lion Goddess, daughter of the sun god Re and consort of Ptah, the creator god who thought and spoke the universe into being. In benign aspect she guards against disease. She can also be the “vengeful eye of Re.” Better keep Mama happy.
