On the Job for Victory

The United States used to “build” things, like ocean-going steamships to carry war personnel and materiel to Europe to fight the First World War. We did it again in World War II. If we had a similar emergency today, we’d have to get our equipment and supplies from China and Mexico. Along with the loss of family-wage jobs, we picked up massive debt and lost the cutting edge of science and technology. Our leaders have certainly led us down the rosy path.
